Borussia Dortmund 2000-01 Home Shirt (XL)

Authentic and original Borussia Dortmund home shirt, as used during the 2000-01 season during which the German side would finish in 3rd in the Bundesliga, under the guidance of Matthias Sammer.

This season would be significant for Borussia Dortmund, as they would make history by becoming the first - and only - club to be publicly traded on the German stock market! On the pitch however, there wasn't too much for the shareholders to get that excited about, as they would finish 5 points behind league winners Bayern Munich, in 3rd place, despite having actually lost the least amount of games in the league (joint with 2nd place Schalke)!.

It would be the 2nd placed side that ended any hopes of a cup run for Dortmund this season too, with Schalke defeating them at home, winning 2-1, with former Manchester City man Claudio Reyna scoring for Dortmund.

Overall, shirt is in okay condition. Clear bit of marking to the sponsor, and a fair few bobbles n wee pulls across the shirt too. Still decent life in it, but seen better days. Size XL, with measurements provided in pictures.
