Liverpool 2002 Training Shirt (XL)

Authentic and original Liverpool training shirt, as used during the 2002-03 season, during which the Reds won the League Cup, under the guidance of French manager Gérard Houllier.

Spearheaded by a young Michael Owen, who scored a spectacular 28(!) goals in all competitions, Liverpool actually topped the Premiership after 12 games, with 30 points from a possible 36. However, following a run of 13 games without a win, of which 11 were in the league, Liverpool ended up outside the top 4, with their defining moment being the 2-0 League Cup win over Manchester United, which just about saved an otherwise disappointing season.

The squad was filled with some huge names from this season, including the likes of Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Emile Heskey, and Finnish defender Sami Hyypia, who made a whopping 56 appearances this season! Standout league results this season included a 6-0 away win against West Brom, a 3-2 away win at Spurs, and a Merseyside derby victory at Goodison!

Shirt is in very good overall condition, no real flaws to note. Size large, with measurements provided in pictures.
