Aberdeen 1985-86 Training Jacket (Small)

Authentic and original Aberdeen training / hooded track jacket, as used during the 1985-86 season, during which the Dons won both domestic cup competitions, as well as reaching the quarter final of the European Cup under the guidance of legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

An absolute beauty of a jacket, and an original from 85, this one will remind Dons of the glory days. This season was actually Sir Alex's last full season at the club, as he was poached by Manchester United by November of the 86-87 campaign, leaving the Dons with a Scottish Cup victory, and a Scottish League Cup victory (both against Edinburgh sides Hibs and Hearts) as a memento from his last full season.

Frank McDougall finished as top scorer for the Dons this season with 20 goals in all competitions, of which 14 came in the league, and of those 14, 4 came in one game against Celtic! Also to play for Aberdeen this season was club captain Willie Miller, defender Alex Mcleish, and former Celtic midfielder Joe Miller, who would return to Aberdeen again in 1993.

Jacket is in really good condition for age. It is an original from 1985, and it has held up pretty well over the years. There is a fold away hood which is kept zipped up at the back of the neck area, and it is fleece lined inside. There's some tiny damage near the pocket, but this is the only issue. Size small.
