Authentic and original AC Milan polo shirt, made during the 2001-02 season, during which the Italian side would finish in 4th in Serie A, finishing the season under the guidance of legendary manager, Carlo Ancelotti.
In what was a disappointing season for the Rossoneri, they were initially led by Fatih Terim, but he was given his marching orders in early November, following a poor start to the season which saw Milan win only 4 of their opening 9 matches. Ancelotti steadied the ship a touch, but couldn't do much to mount any sort of title charge. However, he did enjoy a deep run in the UEFA Cup, reaching the semi finals, beating the likes of CSKA Sofia, Bate Borisov, and Sporting Lisbon, before a 5-3 aggregate defeat to Borussia Dortmund, with the damage done in the 1st leg, where they lost 4-0.
They would also reach the semi finals in the Coppa Italia, defeating Perugia and Lazio in the earlier rounds, before a 3-2 aggregate defeat to Juventus in the semi final, losing 2-1 at the San Siro in the 1st leg.
Overall, polo is in good condition. Quite a heavyweight feel to it, and tagged as a size large. One small mark to shoulder which would likely wash out anyway. Measurements provided in pictures.
