Authentic and original AC Siena home shirt, as used during the 2008-09 season, during which the Bianconeri finished in 14th in Serie A, under the guidance of Marco Giampaolo. Shirt has been match issued / worn by central midfielder, Daniele Galoppa.
The side, which technically went bankrupt and was re-incorporated in 2020 now play in Serie D, but the 08-09 season saw then battle hard to secure their top flight status for another season, ultimately finishing a pretty comfortable 10 points, and 4 places clear of the relegation spots. They had the lowest attendances in the league this season, averaging just 11,026, with a highest attendance of 15,446!
As for Galoppa, the midfielder would make 76 appearances for Siena between 2007 and 2009, before being sold to newly promoted Parma ahead of the 2009-10 season. He would help the side to an excellent seventh place finish, and remain there for 6 years, before signing for Modena in 2015, the club which he now manages! He would also make 2 appearances for the Italian national team, both coming in 2009.
As mentioned, shirt has been genuinely match issued, with correct size Calcio A patch to the arm, and correct player size nameset too. Condition of nameset can be clearly seen, but this is the only real flaw to the shirt. Size Large.
