Authentic and original Ajax Amsterdam training shirt, as used during the 2011-12 season, during which the side would win the Eredivisie, under the guidance of Frank De Boer. Shirt has the added benefit of being issued to, and worn throughout training session this season by Danish fullback, Nicolai Boilesen.
A product of the Brondby youth academy, Boilesen made his senior professional debut at Ajax, coming on as a second half substitute for the 3-0 Eredivisie victory against Heracles. By the 2011-12 season he had cemented himself as first choice left back for De Boer's side, but he would only make 7 appearances in total during this season, having suffered a hamstring injury in September which kept him out until February 2012!
As for Ajax, they would finish 6 points clear of 2nd placed Feyenoord, having put some breathing room between themselves and their rivals after an incredible run at the end of the season, winning all 14 of their final matches! They would also compete in European competition this season, finishing 3rd in their UEFA Champions League group, before dropping down to the Europa League, where they would be knocked out at the round of 32 stage, by Manchester United.
Shirt is a genuine piece of player worn training gear, complete with Boilesen's shirt number 15 to the front. In excellent condition overall, and is a size large, with measurements provided in pictures.
