The strikers career didn't quite pan out as planned since then, with his move to Blackburn actually being on loan from Charlton, where he would score just twice, in 11 appearances. Watt only joined Blackburn during the second half of the season, having spent the first half on loan at Cardiff, where he scored once in 9 league games.
