Borussia Dortmund 1997-98 Home Shirt (S)

Authentic and original Borussia Dortmund home shirt, as used during the 1997-98 season, during which the German side would finish in 10th in the Bundesliga, under the guidance of Nevio Scala.

A disappointing league position was softened slightly by fantastic runs in both the UEFA Champions League, Intercontinental Cup, and German League Cup, where they would reach the semi finals of the UCL and League Cup, as well as winning the Intercontinental Cup. They would also reach the round of 16 of the DFB Pokal, being knocked out by Eintracht Tier. In all honesty, their 'run' to the Semis of the League Cup was made up of a win in the Preliminary rounds, before immediately being knocked out by Bayern Munich in the Semis, losing 2-0.

The Intercontinental Cup was a one off match, which they won following a 2-0 victory over Brazilian side Cruzeiro in Tokyo, with goals from Michael Zorc, and Heiko Herrlich. Their UCL run however was something more impressive, topping their group with 15 points, before knocking out Bayern Munich in the quarter finals, before themselves losing 2-0 over 2 legs against Real Madrid.

Overall, shirt is in fantastic condition, especially considering age. No holes, pulls, or bobbles, and only a couple faint marks to the back, but these are barely noticeable. Size small, and could probably squeeze a medium, with measurements provided in pictures.
