England 2002-03 Away Shirt (XL)

Authentic and original England away shirt, as used during the 2002 World Cup campaign in South Korea and Japan, during which the English reached the quarter finals, before defeat to eventual winners, Brazil.

Being placed in the 'Group of Death' (consisting of themselves, Nigeria, Argentina, and Sweden), England progressed to the knockout rounds as the group runners up, finishing level on points with group winners Sweden, who pipped them to top spot by goals scored, scoring 4 to England's 2.

The English actually only won 1 game in the group stages, against probably the toughest opponents, beating Argentina thanks to a David Beckham penalty just before half time. This victory was sandwiched in between a 1-1 with the group winners, and a 0-0 against Nigeria on the final match day. A comprehensive 3-0 win against Denmark in the round of 16 set up a tantalising quarter final against Brazil, where Michael Owen looked set to have England on their way to the Semis, only for the English to be pegged back before half time courtesy of Rivaldo, and finally, dumped out by Ronaldinho before the hour.

Shirt is in decent overall condition. A few bits of bobbling across the shirt, and a couple pulls, but no holes or tears etc, nothing that really takes too much away from the shirt overall. Size XL, with measurements provided in pictures.
