England 2007-09 Home Shirt (Gerrard) (XL)

Authentic and original England home shirt, as used during the 2007-08 season, during which the English attempted to (and failed) to qualify for the European Championship finals of 2008. Shirt is complete with nameset of England and Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard.

Incredibly, England actually failed to qualify for Euro 2008, missing out by finishing 3rd in their qualifying group, behind Croatia and Russia, with the English being 1 point off 2nd place. In all, this was a relatively poor campaign by England's standards. They lost home and away to Croatia, as well as away to Russia, with these defeats being the catalyst for their failure. Furthermore, draws against the likes of Macedonia and Estonia didn't help their case, as the 'Golden Generation' fell far short of standard.

As for Gerrard, he's a man that has won nearly everything (barring the Premier League), with his honours including the UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Cup, as well as individual honours including the UEFA Club Football of the Year (2005), and inclusion in both the English football, and Premiership hall of fame. Since retirement, he has moved into management, where he will most fondly be remembered for winning the Scottish Premiership with Rangers, in 2020-21.

Overall, shirt is in decent condition. A couple faint stains to the lower front, and back just below nameset, as well as some cracking to front number and back nameset. Size XL with measurements provided in pictures.
