Authentic and original France home shirt, as used during the 2010 World Cup campaign in South Africa, during which the 2006 finalists were shockingly knocked out in the group stages!
The 2018 winners, and semi finalists of the 2026 World Cup were abysmal in South Africa. There was no harmony within the team, with players being dismissed from the squad before the final match day (Nicolas Anelka the main culprit), and the likes of Patrice Evra boycotting training for the final game against South Africa!
They actually finished bottom of their group, failing to win a single game against Mexico, Uruguay, and South Africa, picking up just one point, in an opening day goalless dray with Uruguay. The performance drew criticism from Zinedine Zidane, who cited it as lacking 'teamwork', and he would ultimately be proven correct, as France would be even worse in their next two games, losing to Mexico 2-0, and then 2-1 to South Africa.
Overall, shirt is in decent condition. It's the basic version of the home shirt, so badges are heatpressed rather than stitched. There's some staining which has been pictured, and this could likely come out with a gentle hand wash. No other damage across the shirt, which is a size medium.
