Authentic and original Germany away shirt, as used during the 1996-97 season, where the Germans would compete in the 1996 European Championships in England, winning the tournament for the first time as a unified nation!

The Germans kicked their campaign off with a group stage victory over the Czech Republic, before following this up with a 3-0 victory over Russia, and finished with a draw, against Italy. They would top their group, 3 points clear of 2nd place Czech Republic, with the 1994 World Cup finalists Italy crashing out in 3rd! Germany conceded 0 goals during the group stage of the competition, hitting 5 without reply.

They would then defeat Croatia at Old Trafford in the quarter finals, with Jurgen Klinsmann and Matthias Sammer bagging the goals for the Germans, which in turn set up a semi final tie with old enemies England. A 1-1 draw in 120 minutes took the tie to penalties, where Gareth Southgate would infamously miss the final spotkick, meaning the Germans progressed, winning 6-5 in the shootout. The final was anything but a drab affair, as they would face their fellow group stage side Czech Republic yet again, this time winning 2-1, courtesy of the Golden Goal rule, with the winner scored 5 minutes into extra time.

Overall, shirt is in good condition. Some bobbling front and back as shown, but nothing out of the ordinary for the age of the shirt. Size XL, with measurements provided in pictures.
