Germany 2005-07 Home Shirt (L)

Authentic and original Germany home shirt, as used between the years of 2005 and 2007, when Germany would most notably host the 2006 edition of the World Cup.

This was Germany's first time hosting the World Cup as a unified nation - with West Germany hosting once before, in 1974. They would begin their campaign by defeating Costa Rica in the opening match of the tournament, winning 4-2, before winning both their following group games, against Poland and Ecuador, 1-0, and 3-0.

The knockout stage brought about a comprehensive round of 16 win over Sweden, before they were held to a 1-1 draw by Argentina in the quarter finals, eventually winning the tie on penalties, 4-2. It wasn't to be another final for the Germans however, as they would lose at the semi final stage to eventual winners Italy - with a 2-0 victory for the Italians seeing them through to the final, where they would play France.

Overall, shirt is in satisfactory condition. Few marks shown in pictures, and some fading to Mercedes Benz branding. Size Large, with measurements provided in pictures.
