Authentic and original Germany home shirt, as used during the 2014 World Cup Campaign in Brazil, during which the Germans would win the competition, defeating Argentina in the final. Shirt is complete with nameset of the World Cup winning goalscorer, Mario Gotze.
The 2014 World Cup was the last time the Germans tasted real success on the international stage, having been knocked out in the group stages in 2018 and 2022, and shockingly eliminated by Paraguay in the round of 32 in 2026. They breezed through the group stage in 2014, beating Portugal and the USA, and drawing 2-2 with Ghana, before needing extra time to overcome Algeria. After knocking out France in the quarter finals, they faced arguably their toughest test. A semi-final vs hosts Brazil, in their own back garden...
What followed was an absolute demolishing of the Brazilians, as the world watched as Brazil absolutely fell apart within the opening half an hour, finding themselves 5-0 down to Germany, despite only being 1 behind after the opening 20 minutes! Germany would continue the onslaught after half time, scoring 2 more before Oscar managed a consolation, with the game ending a whopping 7-1 to Germany!
In the final, substitute Mario Gotze was the hero, scoring a fantastic volley in extra time, to add a fourth star to the German badge, and their first World Cup win since the reunification. This remains the last time Germany won a World Cup knockout match, having been abysmal in the preceeding tournaments.
Shirt is in very good condition, and is a size large, with measurements provided in pictures
