Italy Euro 2008 Home Shirt (XL)

Authentic and original Italy home shirt, as used during the UEFA European Championships of 2008, where the Italians would reach the quarter final stage, before elimination to eventual winners Spain.

Beginning their campaign with a difficult group stage that included themselves, the Netherlands, France, and Romania, the Italians would ultimately progress in 2nd place, with the Netherlands topping the group, having won all 3 of their games.

Italy's group results would be a mixed bag, beginning with a 3-0 defeat to the Netherlands, following this up with a 1-1 draw against Romania, before finally recording a win in their final group game, defeating France 2-0, courtesy of goals from Andrea Pirlo, and Daniele De Rossi. From here they would face the Spanish in the quarter finals, in a game that would end 0-0 after 120 minutes, meaning the lottery of penalties was needed to determine who would progress. Cesc Fabregas would score the decisive spot kick to secure a memorable 4-2 shootout victory for Spain, with this actually being their first competitive victory over Italy since the 1920 Olympic Games!
