Authentic and original Switzerland home shirt, as used during the 2006 World Cup campaign, hosted in Germany, where the Swiss would reach the round of 16.
Switzerland topped their group at this World Cup, claiming an impressive 2 wins, and 1 draw from their 3 games, with the only blemish being a goalless draw vs France on the opening day. They progressed through the group stages without conceding a single goal, and perhaps more impressively became the first team in World Cup history to go through their entire campaign without conceding - due to the fact they were knocked out on penalties by Ukraine in the next round.
They recorded comprehensive 2-0 wins over both Togo and South Korea to complete their group stage, with former Basel striker Alexander Frei scoring in both matches. Their round of 16 however was pretty poor. A 0-0 draw with Ukraine led to a penalty shootout, where 3 nightmarish penalties meant that the Swiss had been slaughtered 3-0 on pens, to be dumped out the competition.
Overall, shirt is in excellent condition, and is a size large.
