Anyway, the side did the shirt justice on the pitch, winning the league, going unbeaten in their opening 8 league games, winning 6 of these, and pulling in an incredible 30,000 fans for their 4-0 home victory against 1860 Munich! They would also compete in the DFB Pokal, and the Intertoto Cup this season, reaching round 2 of the former, before defeat to Schalke, and being knocked out in the group stages of the latter.
