Authentic and original Werder Bremen goalkeeper shirt, as used during the 2011-12 season, during which the Bundesliga side finished in 9th in the top tier of German football, under the guidance of club legend, Thomas Schaaf. Shirt has the added benefit of being kitroom / Player issue, complete with heatpressed wash labels instead of printed, and a much, much smoother feel than the replica editions. Anyway, Werder were extremely middle of the road this season, finishing 9th in the Bundesliga, and being knocked out of the DFB Pokal in the first round, somewhat surprisingly, away to FC Heidenheim! The first half of the season wasn't too bad for Werder, losing just once in their opening 7 fixtures, with 5 wins in that time. However, their formed tailed away massively from March onwards, as they would fail to win in the league after March 11th, including 4 defeats from their last 4 games of the season! There were some decent players to play for the side this season, including the likes of Marko Arnautovic, Claudio Pizzaro, and Per Mertesaker, who moved to Arsenal at the beginning of the season. As mentioned, shirt is kitroom / Player issued, with the differences already being detailed, but just bear in mind shirt will be a slightly tighter fit than the standard too. Overall, shirt is in fantastic condition, and it's a size large.
